Own a piece of history with a 1934A North Africa $10 Silver Certificate, available now at Provident Metals. Each note comes in fine to very fine condition.

Highlighted by a yellow seal on the obverse, World War II Emergency Issue notes were manufactured in response to campaigns against Europe and North Africa, where there was an increased risk of circulation currency falling into enemy hands.

The North Africa Silver Certificate, printed only for use in that specific region, was produced in order to combat confiscation — if the bills were obtained by the opposing force, they were automatically declared worthless.

Silver Certificates were first issued in response to anger over the Fourth Coinage Act, which placed the United States on the gold standard. Initially, Silver Certificates could be redeemed for their face value in silver dollar coins and bullion. However, since 1968, they could only be redeemed for Federal Reserve Notes or used as legal tender.

Hold a piece of history in your hands when you buy a 1934A North Africa $10 Silver Certificate from Provident Metals today.
