The reverse features a similar design to the ordinary $1 Silver Certificate, with the exception of one addition: the word HAWAII is lightly overprinted across the bill.
The obverse features Gilbert Stuart’s portrait of George Washington. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR are the most prominently phrases, with the number ‘1’ printed in all four corners of the bill. HAWAII is printed in small lettering on both the left and right sides of the certificate.
