Coin Highlights:
Late President, Thomas Jefferson was born near the Blue Ridge Mountains of the British-ruled colony of Virginia on April 13, 1743. From the age of nine, Jefferson studied away from home and lived with his tutor. His father, a landowner, surveyor, and government official, died when his son was 14. Later Jefferson enrolled at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Obverse
For the obverse field of the 1961 GEM Proof Jefferson Nickel, the iconic effigy of Thomas Jefferson is engraved in the heart of the coin. He is displayed in a left-facing portrait with a stern gaze and his hair brushed back elegantly. The inscriptions found on this side of the coin are In God We Trust, Liberty, and 1961.
Reverse
For the reverse field of the 1961 GEM Proof Jefferson Nickel, collectors and investors will get a front-row view of Thomas Jeffersons family home. It is a large mansion with numerous halls and exquisite finishing. The inscriptions found on this side of the coin include; E Pluribus Unum, Monticello, Five Cents, and United States of America.

Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
