Since 1982, the Chinese Panda Gold coin has been one of the longest-running gold bullion programs in the world. It is one of the top major gold bullion coins that is offered to global collectors and investors in conjunction with South Africas Krugerrand and the United States of Americas American Eagle Gold coins.
Obverse
The obverse field of the 1985 Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coin includes the image of an ancient Chinese building. This building in question is referred to as the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. A gorgeous stairwell leads the viewer into the Temple of Heaven which is located in Beijing, China. The entire image is surrounded by Chinese wordings, Peoples Republic of China. The entirety of it is written in Chinese inscriptions along with the year of issue for the coin.
Reverse
The reverse field of the 1985 Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coin features the effigy of a hanging panda. The panda is depicted swinging from a bamboo tree which bends all the way back to the edge of the coin with all of its sheer might and willpower. The panda is a well-known creature found primarily in Canada. It was once one of the few creatures facing extinction. The inscriptions found on this side of the coin include the purity, weight, and denomination of the coin.
