Each 1986-2025 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin in this set is graded Mint State 69 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). MS69 coins offer full mint luster and a maximum of two small imperfections, such as faint hairlines or tiny contact marks, outside the primary focus areas. The coins are individually encapsulated in slabs and come packaged together in a box.

Obverse

The obverse of each American Eagle Silver Coin showcases the Walking Liberty design, an iconic image that first appeared on the US Half Dollar in 1916. Created by Adolph A. Weinman, this design depicts Lady Liberty in a left-facing profile. Draped in the American flag, she strides toward the sunrise with an outstretched right hand and holds branches of oak and laurel in her left.

Reverse

The reverse side of Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins features one of two designs depending on the coins date. Coins minted between 1986 and early 2021 feature John Mercantis heraldic eagle design, while coins minted from mid-2021 through 2025 display Emily Damstras soaring bald eagle. Due to the transition year, this set includes two distinct coins from 2021, each with a unique reverse.

History

In 2021, the United States Mint introduced the new reverse eagle design to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the series. As mandated by U.S. law, major coin redesigns can only occur every 25 years unless otherwise directed by Congress. This redesign marked a new era for the beloved Silver Eagle while honoring its enduring legacy.
