History
When it debuted in 1982, the Gold Panda Series consisted of four weight selections from 1 oz down to 1/10 oz. A 1/20 oz coin joined in 1983, followed by larger sizes in later years. With the exception of 2001-2002, the panda design on the reverse changes annually. Other adjustments included a revised face value in 2001 and a shift from Troy ounces to grams in 2016.
