Each 1986-P $1 Statue of Liberty Commemorative Coin in this Provident Metals online listing was struck at the United States Mint following the passage of Public Law 99-61. The coins were later sent to the Professional Coin Grading Service for certification. Using a scale of 1-70, PCGS assigned these coins a perfect score. Reverse

The reverse face of 1986-P Statue of Liberty Commemorative Silver Coins features the liberty torch with rays of light shining forth from its flames. Text from the poem The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus is also featured. It reads GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES, YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE. Youll see additional inscriptions also that read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, E PLURIBUS UNUM.

History

Though it is considered one of the greatest US monuments, The Statue of Liberty was actually built by the French as a gift to America. The gift idea came about when several prominent Frenchmen gathered for dinner and lamented the dictatorial state of their government. Longing for a more democratic form of government like that found in America, they decided to create a statue that represented US political ideals. After 21 years of hard work and perseverance, the statue was officially dedicated on US soil.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
