Obverse
Augustus Saint-Gaudens Lady Liberty design is featured on the obverse face of American Eagle Gold Coins. This design was originally used on Gold Double Eagle Coins, which were released in 1907. In the image, Lady Liberty is walking away from the Capitol building with the sun shining on her back. She is carrying both an olive branch and a large flaming torch.
Reverse
Sculptor Miley Busiek created a bald eagle family design specifically for use on American Eagle Gold Coins in 1986. In the design, a large male bald eagle is shown as he returns to the family next with an olive branch clutched in his talons. His female mate and hatchling are waiting for him to return to the nest.
History
The American Eagle Coin program from the United States Mint began in 1986. Originally, there were only a few options. However today, there are different weights, finishes, and even metal types to consider.
The gold coins come in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz weights. There are three finish options: bullion, uncirculated, and proof.
There are also now four different metal types: gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Each metal type will have a different design on both the obverse and reverse face.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
