Reverse

For the reverse field of the 1989 Australian Nugget 1 oz Gold Coin, the design of a gold nugget is engraved. Australia is known for its massive gold mines and this is an ode to this. The image is crafted to look like an extract of gold in the heart of a circle of strong rays. The outer border of the coin is surrounded by a circle of embroidery. The inscriptions here include; Australian Gold Nugget, 1 oz fine gold, and 1989.
