History

Since their debut in 1982, Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coins have been released every year. In 11 out of the 12 years of the coin program, over 1 million 1 oz coins were produced. This coin made history by becoming the first annual-silver bullion coin to be released in 1982. The program introduced fractional ounces in 1991, with the addition of 2 oz and 5 oz versions in 1996.
