It is inscribed with the words “THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA,” “1 OZ .999 SILVER,” “1995.” The obverse of each coin features the crowned profile of Queen Elizabeth II, and it is inscribed with the denomination five dollars.

– On April 19, 168 people died after Timothy McVeigh unleashed a bomb at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
– On October 20, Brenda Hodge, the last person sentenced to death in Australia, was paroled after serving eleven years in prison for murder.
About the Perth Mint
