Investors and collectors around the world will definitely want to add another bullion product from the American Gold Eagle Coin series to their collections! For years, this series has been marked as the official gold product of the United States. This specific release was manufactured by the West Point Mint and is being made available for purchase to the public once again. Currently, the 1995-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin can be purchased online from Provident Metals.
Produced using 22 karats of actual gold, the 1995-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin was made with a metal combination of 3% silver, 5.33% copper, and 91.67% gold. This coin was manufactured by the West Point Mint, which is indicated by the W mint marking featured on the coin. This bullion product also offers a proof finish, so each design appears frosted while the backgrounds of the obverse and reverse are mirrored. When you order from Provident Metals, your coin will arrive in a themed presentation box and include a Certificate of Authenticity.
Coins have been released on a yearly basis from the American Gold Eagle Coin series, which was first introduced in 1987. This release for 1995 marks the second year that the West Point Mint took over creating the 1/10-ounce fractional-weight coin. Previously, this fractional weight was manufactured by the Philadelphia Mint, but production of all weights transitioned to West Point after 1993.
On the obverse of the 1995-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is the image of Lady Liberty, taken from the original Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Lady Liberty is shown striding forward with an olive branch in one hand and a torch in the other. Sun rays extend out into the sky, which help highlight Lady Libertys radiance and power.
On the reverse of the 1995-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is the original eagle-family design created by artist Miley Busiek. A male eagle carries an olive branch in its talons as it flies overhead, while the female eagle and eaglets wait patiently for him in the nest. The coins value, purity, and weight are also included on this side of the coin.
