These coins will arrive in an NGC protective plastic slab. UCAM designation indicates proofs that have strong, frosted design elements with deeply mirrored clear background fields.
Obverse
Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty is located on the obverse field of 1999-P Proof American Eagle Silver Coins. This striking image, which was also used on the half-dollar from 1916 to 1947, features Liberty striding toward the sunset. Draped over her shoulder is the American Flag. Inscriptions read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 1999.
Reverse
John Mercantis modernized depiction of the heraldic eagle is located on the reverse of 1999-P Proof Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. This design shows the bald eagle with its wings spread out and the national shield on its chest. Inscriptions on the reverse include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, P, 1 OZ, FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.

1999 marked a significant boost in production and demand for Proof American Eagles. With Y2K approaching, the mintages of proofs in this series reached 549,796, the highest mark since 1990.
