At the end of the 19th century, the United States Mint and US Treasury sought to bring artistic brilliance to the coins and notes it produced for Americans. In particular, the United States was hoping to produce paper currency designs that were equivalent to small works of art in the pocket of every American with the paper money used in every-day transactions. The Educational Series of designs, issued on Silver Certificates in 1896, stand the test of time as the most beautiful designs in American history. Right now, you can buy $2 Educational Legal Tender Notes online from Provident Metals.

  • Arrives with a blue, bi-fold presentation folio and an included Certificate of Authenticity!
  • Replicates the 1896 Educational Series $2 Silver Certificate design!
  • Impressive high-definition designs on the obverse!

Provident Metals is happy to offer you the chance to own the 1896 $2 Educational Series Silver Certificate design on these modern Federal Reserve Notes. Each one of the $2 bills offered here is a real, legal tender US note from the $2 Federal Reserve Note release. The bills are in uncirculated condition and are in clean, crisp condition straight from Federal Reserve packs of $2 bills. The 1896 $2 Educational Series Silver Certificate design has been overlayed on the obverse using high-definition graphics for a stunning, modern collectible piece. The notes are housed in bi-fold presentation folios with a Certificate of Authenticity included.

In the obverse design of the $2 Educational Legal Tender Notes listed here, you will find the obverse design from the 1896 Silver Certificate of the same denomination. Capturing the end of the Industrial Revolution in America, the design shows the allegory of Science in the center as a mature woman. She is introducing the young allegories of steam and electricity to other mature allegories representing Commerce and Manufacture.

For the reverse field of $2 Educational Legal Tender Notes, the design field features the modern design for the $2 Federal Reserve Note. Based on the 1818 work of art from John Trumbull, the design here shows the Founding Fathers gathering to sign of the Declaration of Independence. This image has featured on the $2 US bill since 1976 when it was introduced in the modern Federal Reserve Note Series.

The three bills issued in the 1896 Educational Series of Silver Certificates, accounting for $1, $2, and $5 denominations, are considered the three finest examples of American paper money design. Existing examples of the certificates often sell for great sums among collectors, but you can own these images for less with modern Federal Reserve Notes such as these that replicate the beauty and splendor of the designs on new notes.
