The name Sekhmet translates to English as she who is powerful. While Sekhmet was referred to primarily as the goddess of war, she was worshipped for many different reasons and often considered to be the goddess of the hot sun, plague, chaos, and even healing. History

In this state, she could help friends avoid the plague and cure disease.
