The 2 oz Silver Silver Bug Giant Longhorn Beetle High Relief Round features the image of the macrodontia cervicornis, more commonly known as the Giant Longhorn Beetle. This beetle is one of the largest known beetle specimens in the world; it is found most often in the rainforests of South America. The ferocious-looking beetle calls Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, and the Guianas home.

This 4^th design in SilverBug Series, from the Intaglio Mint, brings the Giant Longhorn Beetle to life. The round features an ultra-high-relief strike and embellished micro-engraved details that show off the beetle in an impressive manner.

Obverse

The obverse design of the 2 oz Silver SilverBug Giant Longhorn Beetle High Relief Round features an image of the giant longhorn beetle, in amazing detail. The image of the beetle is highlighted by the domed radial burst that allows the eyes to center on the bug. The design contains the engraving of the Silverbug community statement, All Hail the Silverbug and In Silver We Trust.

Reverse

The reverse design of the 2 oz Silver SilverBug Giant Longhorn Beetle High Relief Round features the official logo for the Intaglio Mint. The logo has a Romanesque column that is in the shape of the letter I. It also includes the date that the mint was established. Also included on the design is a radial sunburst and a stippled border that contains engravings indicating the weight, purity, and metal content.
