Each 2 x 1 oz Silver 2025 Beasts Gullinbursti Geminus Set includes two individual 1 oz silver rounds. Germania Mint houses the rounds in a dual capsule and packages them in a presentation box along with a Certificate of Authenticity. The rounds offer a detailed combination of finishes, with yellow gold on the background of the obverse and ruthenium plating on the head of the creature. On the reverse, the yellow gold enhances the body of the beast, while ruthenium plating is used for the background.

Design

The obverse and reverse of the rounds in the Silver 2025 Beasts Gullinbursti Geminus Set are carefully designed to show a side profile of Gullinbursti when placed together. In mythology, Gullinbursti was known for his golden bristles, ember-bright eyes, and hooves that sparked against the ground. His ivory-colored tusks were as strong as steel, making him a powerful and loyal guardian to Freyr. The inscriptions on the obverse of each round include GULLINBURSTI and 1 OZ AG 9999, while the inscriptions on the reverse read GERMANIA, 2025, and 5 MARK.

History

Gullinbursti was one of Freyrs most prized treasures in Norse mythology, symbolizing fertility, abundance, and protection. The golden boar carried Freyrs chariot across the realms and served faithfully as his mount and protector. Gullinburstis story also highlights the skills of the dwarves, who were able to create magical beings using their forging talents.
