The obverse of each private mint round shows General Forrest astride a horse, pointing a pistol toward the sky. It is inscribed with the words IN GOD WE TRUST, GEN N.B. FORREST, 2000 and CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA.
The reverse features the image of a Confederate flag. It is inscribed with CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA, ONE TROY OUNCE, .999 FINE SILVER, R.O.L. and SILVER DOLLAR.
About General N.B. Forrest
Born in Bedford County, Tennessee, Nathan Bedford Forrest (1821-1877) served as Lieutenant General in the Confederate Army. Uneducated, Forrest made his fortune in real estate and the slave trade.
Nicknamed the Wizard of the Saddle, General Forrest was a brilliant war strategist, perhaps most famous for his controversial command at the Battle of Fort Pillow. Confederate President Jefferson Davis and General Robert E. Lee hailed Forrest’s service, saying the Confederacy did not take full advantage of Forrest’s potential.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
