The first major addition was the launch of the US Statehood Quarters, offering collectors more variety in each release. Every coin in this set has a proof finish, giving the design a frosted look set against mirror-like backgrounds. Although the coins come in original mint-issued plastic cases, some of these cases may have light wear or damage. The outer shipper and COA might also be missing from some sets, but the coins themselves remain in good condition.

Designs

The 2001 Proof Set includes the standard US coins: Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Sacagawea Dollar. Unlike earlier sets with just one quarter, this release includes five unique Statehood Quarters. Each features George Washingtons image on the obverse and reverse designs that represent individual states, arranged by the order in which they joined the Union or ratified the Constitution.
