Obverse
The obverse design of the 2003 Austrian Philharmonic Gold Coins features the grandeur of the Great Pipe Organ. This masterpiece, installed in the early 1900s, represents the third pipe organ to grace the concert hall since its opening. Surrounding the iconic design are the coins identifying marks. Inscriptions read REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1 UNZE GOLD, 999.9, 2003, and 100 EURO.
Reverse
On the reverse side, a delightful array of musical instruments takes center stage. A prominent cello stands proudly in the middle, flanked by two violins on each side. Completing the ensemble, the background showcases a bassoon, harp, and horn. Inscriptions on this field read WIENER PHILHARMONIKER.
