The State Quarters Program was a 50-coin release honoring each state in the nation in order of its admission into the Union. When you purchase the 2003 US Mint Proof Quarter Sets online at Provident Metals, you will receive a total of five coins, all of which are dated 2003. Each coin is a proof specimen with frosted visuals and mirror-like fields. All of the coins are packaged together in a plastic holder.
Designs
The obverse of the 2003 US Mint Proof Quarters in this five-coin set features a left-profile portrait of President George Washington. This design was created for the quarter in 1932 and came from John Flanagan. The inscriptions on this field include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, and QUARTER DOLLAR. On the reverse of each coin is the 2003 date mark and an inscription of E PLURIBUS UNUM. Beyond this, other inscriptions include the state name, the date of that states admission to the Union, and the name of the site or person representing that state.
History
From 1999 to 2008, the State Quarters Program was issued for circulation use. The success of the program lead to the later issue of the 2009 DC and Territories Quarter Series, and eventually the 2010-2021 US Mint ATB bullion series.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
