History

The Proof American Eagle Silver Coin debuted in 1986 with the San Francisco Mint issuing the coins from 1986 to 1992. From 1993 to 2000, the Philadelphia Mint issued the coins. In 2001, the West Point Mint took up the mantle of production and the 2003 release was its third offering of the Proof American Eagle Silver Coin.
