Chinese Panda bullion coins were introduced in 1982 by the Chinese Mint with gold bullion options. In 1983, the mint added a 1/20 oz gold BU coin and introduced its first silver coins in the series, though these were initially numismatic offerings. Obverse

The obverse of 2006 Chinese Panda Silver Coins features two playful Giant Pandas. These creatures are shown lounging beneath the cover of overhead foliage as they snack on bamboo, the staple of a pandas diet. Inscriptions include 1 OZ AG .999 and 10 Yuan.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 2006 Panda 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the exterior of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This design features on the coins annually and shows the main entrance to the holy building within the Temple of Heaven Complex. Inscriptions on this side include the date 2006 and the Chinese text for Peoples Republic of China.

History

The original Chinese Panda Silver Coins issued from 1983 to 1985, and in 1987, were numismatic proofs. The coin had varying silver fineness, with the first three issues featuring .900 fineness and the 1987 strike featuring sterling silver content (.925). No coins were issued in 1986 or 1988.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. When will my order ship?

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
