On the reverse of this 2007 Australian Lunar Pig Silver Coin, a charming lunar pig stands in right-profile relief atop a bed of leaves. Traditional Chinese characters for the pig and inscriptions frame the endearing animal, celebrating the lunar year. Inscriptions read 5 OZ 999 SILVER and 2007.
History
In 2007, the Perth Mint issued 8 unique silver sizes for the Lunar Series, ranging from 1/2 Troy oz to an impressive 10 kilograms. The 5 oz weight, introduced in 2004, is the 4th smallest in the series. Since its debut in 1999, the Lunar Series has captivated collectors with its annual designs honoring the Chinese lunar calendar. While silver coins were first issued in 1999, the overall Lunar Series dated back to 1996, but just for gold coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
