The reverse side of the coin features two maple leaves and a short branch against an interwoven textured background. The coin’s country of origin appears towards the top, while the 1 oz weight and .99999 purity are inscribed at the bottom. The words “FINE GOLD” and “OR PUR” confirms with Canada’s tradition of using both English and French on its coinage.
