On the obverse field of the 2009 Australian Kookaburra Silver Coin, you’ll find the elegant effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This image was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley and shows the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland diamond tiara. Her Majesty is surrounded by identifying marks of the coin. These marks include IRB, 1 DOLLAR, ELIZABETH II, and AUSTRALIA.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2009 Kookaburra 1 oz Silver Coin showcases the unique 2009 Kookaburra design, featuring a Kookaburra in front-facing relief perched on a branch.
