Collectors of the ATB silver bullion quarters know there are 56 coins to gather. The 2010 ATB Yosemite 5 oz Silver Coin is the third coin released in the overall series.
Highlights
Obverse
As is traditional for quarters, George Washington’s portrait graces the obverse side of the 2010 ATB Yosemite silver coin. The obverse is actually common for all coins in the series, and it’s based on the design John Flanagan created for the 1932 quarter. That quarter commemorated Washington’s 200th birthday, and the image remains common to quarters today. The obverse also includes inscriptions: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, QUARTER DOLLAR, and IN GOD WE TRUST.
Reverse
The reverse of this coin is stunning. Inscriptions circle the border: YOSEMITE, CALIFORNIA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and 2010. In the center, the cliffs of El Capitan rise above a detailed forest and lake. The cliffs are an iconic site in Yosemite National Park.
Packaging
These coins ship in a transparent plastic slab. Additional labels and certification information is included on the slab, but there are no guarantees about which labels you get or which grading house certified the coin(s) you receive. We do guarantee that any coins shipped for this listing have an MS69 rating, but we pick from the inventory available once your payment clears.
History
Mintages of the ATB coins began in 2010 and continued through 2021. Five different coins were minted each year from 2010 to 2020, and the last coin in the series was minted in 2021. Each design was carefully chosen to represent an iconic location or monument so that each state, territory and the District of Columbia were included.
