The koala is one of the most popular animals of Australia, and this coin release recognizes this and holds special meaning for the Australian continent. The Australian Koala Coin collection was introduced by the Perth Mint and has been successful over the few years that coins in this series have been available. Each year has had special designs for collectors and investors everywhere to love. Now, the 2010 Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin PCGS SP69 Gilded can be purchased online from Provident Metals.
The 2010 Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin PCGS SP69 Gilded was manufactured and struck in 99.9% fine silver and is considered a full legal tender of Australia. This special coin release holds a gilded quality, meaning certain design elements have thin layers of 24-karat gold on them. The PCGS has given this coin a grading of SP69, meaning it’s considered a near-perfect specimen with no more than two minor flaws. These flaws are shown as minuscule hairlines or contact marks that must be outside the central focal point of the coin.
The Perth Mint first released the Australian Silver Koala Coin series in 2007. Since then, there have been multiple bullion products released in this series, with special designs for each year. 2010 is the third year of production for this collection. Overall, this series brings significance to one of Australias most famous animals, the koala.
The obverse of the 2010 Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin PCGS SP69 Gilded shows the right-side profile image of Queen Elizabeth II. In the effigy, she is seen wearing her glorious crown. The image of the Queen is used on many coin products manufactured around the world to honor her as a famous leader.
The image of a koala climbing along a tree branch is seen on the reverse of the 2010 Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin PCGS SP69 Gilded. The reverse design features intense detailing so the viewer is able to make out the koalas furry ears and textured skin. The P mint marking is also shown on the reverse for the Perth Mint, along with the weight and purity of the coin.
