The reverse features an image of a tiger standing atop a rocky terrain. The Chinese symbol for tiger in addition to the phrase “2 oz. .999 Silver” and the date of mintage is also engraved. The third sign in the Chinese zodiac, the tiger represents bravery, courage, and boldness. Since the Chinese zodiac spans over a twelve year cycle, the next year of the tiger will occur in 2022.
