These 2010 Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coins are sealed in plastic pouches for protection. The 2010 release marked the 29th issue in the series and was among the last to use Troy ounce weights. In 2016, the Chinese Mint switched from Troy ounces to metric units, changing this coins weight to 30 grams.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2010 Chinese Panda Gold Coin includes a design of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, the centerpiece of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. This Taoist structure appears on the obverse of all Gold Panda Coins, staying consistent from one year to the next.

Reverse

On the reverse of 2010 Panda 1 oz Gold Coins, the 2010 coin features two Giant Pandas resting beside one another. The background is filled with tall bamboo, and smaller bamboo shoots are scattered around them. Each years reverse design in the series highlights pandas in different settings.
