The name ‘hawksbill’ comes from the turtle’s hawk-like head. The marine animal’s lifespan is typically 30 to 50 years — if it can avoid being captured for its beautiful shell, which changes color depending on the water temperature. The hawksbill has arms similar to flippers, which help them swim and walk.
