The Republic of Armenia issued this coin containing 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver. The obverse bears the Armenian coat of arms, its value of 500 DRAM, weight, purity, issuing year and the country’s full name. The reverse, showcasing the design by Eduard Kurghinyan, exhibits a flying dove with an olive branch along with Noah’s Ark floating the flood ahead of Mr. Ararat and the rising sun.

i never thought in a million years that an armenian coin as beautiful as this one would ever exist. my mom passed 28 years ago,dad passed 7 years ago. oh how i wish they could have laid their eyes on this coin.they would have been so proud. having been from the old country an all.i still can't contain myself. when i ordered this coin,it was with them in mind. the turn around time from provident "just blew me away".i received them in less than five days from ordering.it was on my wish list,and as soon as they were available provident notified me,and i put in my order on a monday,by saturday morning it was delivered.provident keeps blowing me away with the fantastic service that they provide.i will keep buying from them on a regular basis,they keep blowing the doors off of everyone else that sells pm's,and i will buy more of my parents' homeland coins,just because.if were'nt for provident,i really would have never known.i'm glad that i was turned on to provident,they know how to run a business,hands down,the best.my lcs. cant even come close."

This is a spectacular silver coin! It must be seen in person to truly appreciate it's beauty. The photos, while showing great detail, make the coin look black.
