The highly anticipated 2012 El Yunque America the Beautiful, consisting of 5-Ounces of .999 Pure Silver, is now available at Provident Metals. Celebrating El Yunque National Park, the only tropical rain forest within the United States Forest System, it is the first of five America the Beautiful coins to be released by the US Mint in 2012.
Situated in northeastern Puerto Rico, El Yunque National Park was first protected by King Alfonso XII of Spain in 1876, making it one of the earliest protected wildlife regions of the great West. Secured in 1903 as the Luquillo Forest Reserve, the area was officially deemed a national forest three years later.
Indigenous to the 28,000 acre El Yunque National Forest is the Coqui Tree Frog (one of the most common frog species on the island) and the Puerto Rican Parrot (considered an endangered species), both of which adorn the coin’s tropical reverse.
Coins purchased in multiples of 10 will arrive in tubes issued by the United States Mint.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
