Obverse
The obverse of the 2013 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin features Liberty, as designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907 for the $20 Gold Double Eagle coin, guiding the nation forward with her torch. Inscriptions read LIBERTY, and 2013.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2013 American Eagle Gold Coin, the image portrays a female bald eagle guarding her nest with hatchlings, while a male eagle soars above. This unique design by Miley Busiek is exclusive to the American Gold Eagle series. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 1 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 50 DOLLARS.
History
The American Eagle Gold coin marked a significant moment, being the first gold coin struck by the US Mint since 1933 and the first to have a gold content higher than .900 since 1837. Its $50 (USD) face value was also the highest among US coins at that time. These coins made history upon their 1986 debut. The bullion version initially offered 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins, with the proof coin initially available only in the 1 oz weight. Over the next few years, the US Mint introduced fractional-weight proof coins, unveiling the 1/2 oz in 1987 and the 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz in 1988.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
