Celebrating the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the obverse of each 1 Oz Silver Philharmonic features a montage of the world-renowned Great Organ, where it sits inside the Golden Hall of Vienna. It is inscribed with the words REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1 UNZE FEINSILBER (meaning 1 Ounce Pure Silver), 2013 and 1.5 EUROS.
The reverse of each Austrian Philharmonic bears an arrangement of orchestral instruments–including a string bass, cellos, violins, harp, bassoon and a Viennese horn–so delicately crafted, they are often referred to as the Bouquet of Instruments. The reverse is inscribed with the words WIENER PHILHARMONIKER, the German name for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Each coin is 37mm across.

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. The Philharmonics are beautiful coins that are priced very competitive compared to other world bullion coins. Provident did a great job packing and getting the order out quickly. Very happy with both the product and service.

These bullion have the advantage of being free of IRS reporting like American Eagles and Canadian Maples, and they are clearly high quality. But with Maples being the same price or cheaper, and more recognizable and perhaps desirable, I don’t see a reason to choose these. In terms of appearance…meh.

All the advantages of an american silver eagle with a good break on the premium. And it’s an absolutely gorgeous coin. It’s prettier than the ASE (my humble opinion). The austrian mint tubes are more intelligently designed than the US Mint ones for ease of opening (has some larger lips on the lid). I actually prefer these to the ASEs and have a bunch of them. Now ordering a bunch more silver phils.
Provident is a reliable partner. They ship in a timely fashion. They don’t overpromise and underdeliver like some others. So far, I don’t believe they are selling inventory they don’t possess when they say it’s “available”.

I bought one of these when I ordered some other coins just too see how it looked and its great! Looks like perfect condition. I keep most of my silver coins in direct fit air tites and couldnt find one that matches its size, however it fit in the 38.1mm size with a little extra room and seems like it will work fine. I am going to order a few more next time I order.

I just received my second batch of Austrian Silver Philharmonics, and it really is a nice coin. I like that it is thicker than most silver rounds, at the expensive of diameter.
I wish other mints would add silver coins of such dimensions, just for the sake of variety.
I like to weigh my coins when they arrive, and todays ASPs weighed between 1.0010–1.0040 ozt. Very happy with this coin and with Provident’s service.

A unique coin with Very European look. Slightly thicker than most silver coins and smooth edge finish. Condition was very good and shipped in a plastic flip fold from Provident. Provident always first class at a reasonable price.

I really, really like the Austrian Philharmoniker coin–even moreso than the American Silver Eagle (a close 2nd).
My coin weighed in at 1.0055 ozt (31.27g), which is nice & reassuring.
I prefer this to the ASE, because it is a slightly smaller diameter, and is slighly thicker (37mm x 3.2mm) compared to (40.6mm x 2.98mm) for the ASE.
The Chinese Silver Pandas are the most attractive, IMO, but with a weight of 0.999 ozt (31.07g) [slightly less than 1 ozt !!], and a higher cost, the ASP is my surprizing favorite.
