First launched in 1988, the reverse of each 1 oz Silver Maple features a maple leaf, Canada’s iconic national emblem. The reverse of each coin is inscribed with the words “CANADA,” “.9999 FINE SILVER” and “1 OZ ARGENT PUR.” The obverse of each 2013 1 ounce Silver Maple bears Susanna Blunt’s Queen Elizabeth II design, along with the coin’s face value of $5 and the year 2013.
The Royal Canadian Mint–or Monnaie Royale Canadienne as it is known in French–is the Crown Corporation responsible for producing all of the nation’s circulation coins. The only mint on earth to issue commemorative coins in a .9999 fineness, the mint provides gold and silver assay and refinery services, while running a highly-advanced technical refinery.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Looking at all bullion coins, it’s hard to find one that beats the Canadian Maple for it’s trusted reputation, IRA allowability, IRS reporting requirements, cost and appearance. The frosted like finish on the field is actually a very nice linear brush-like pattern that is beautiful and unique. The 999.9 fineness is slightly higher than other bullion, which does not improve value as much as it shows the high production quality.

Just received my last order to complete my collection of 1oz coins for the year (silver eagle, maples, philharmonics, pandas, etc.). The 2 maples were the worst of the bunch. Several scratches and imperfections. The queen actually looks like she has 5 o’clock shadow there are so many little nicks.

I just received two CSML today, along with a gold Maple Leaf.
The silver coins are beautiful to look at and to hold. I haven’t held them side by side to my American Silver Eagles, but I think they are a bit thicker, with a slightly smaller diameter.
One Silver Maple Leaf weighed 1.0100ozt and the other wieghed 1.0085 (or 31.41g and 31.36g, respectively). I like that the coins err in favour of the owner (slightly more than 1 ozt).
My silver collection just got another North American addition today, I look forward to future purchases from Provident–they are second to none!
