Mount Ararat is in the distance, the land on which the ark will come to rest. The words NOAH’S ARK are written in Armenian and English near the rim.
The reverse shows the Armenian coat of arms, as well as 1 Oz Ag 999 and 500 DRAM 2013. The rim bears the words REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA in Armenian and English.

The Noah's Ark coins seem to be somewhat difficult to get. Provident and other sources are very frequently out of stock. They are a great looking and the finish and detail is superb. Fine quality. They are generally one of the lower premium coins too. So many great reasons to buy."

There is a reason why Armenia has Noah's Ark on these coins. Mount Ararat is where Noah's Ark reportedly first found dry land after the 40 days and 40 nights of rain in the Biblical flood. Mt. Ararat is in what was historically Armenia but now most of the Mountain lies inside the borders of Turkey. Armenia is a pro-Western / pro-American republic that was liberated by the fall of the Iron Curtain.
These coins are really beautifully done. They're actually minted in Germany under an arrangement with the Armenian government. I'm really proud to have these in my stack. They are truly strikingly beautiful. I ordered 21, so i got one in a mint tube plus one to look at! And I feel like the purchase may somehow help Armenia, a fledgling republic, to remain free and to resist the influence of Russia, Iran and other regional powers that are not friendly to the United States." |

My buddy and I have waited months for the 2012’s to come back in stock. Thankfully, they released the 2013 and I was finally able to get my hands on these Armenians. Hands down, the most beautiful coin of all the world coins I own. I did not see any major flaws with the ones I had purchased such as gouges or major scratches. The detail is incredible on both sides and has a highly detailed Christian theme to it. I purchased a couple extra to give as gifts. I would absolutely recommend this and want to purchase more very soon. After my mom saw the coins I purchased, she was jealous and had me purchase four coins for her :D
