In addition to containing 5 troy ounces of .999 fine silver, this shining coin features a beautiful design, in recognition of the sculptors who painstakingly created the 60-foot tall faces of four American presidents.
The obverse of the coin includes a close-up look of a sculptor hanging precipitously off Mount Rushmore, carefully chiseling Thomas Jefferson’s eye out of hard granite. Workers in the background are sculpting George Washington as he emerges from the mountain. The rim reads “MOUNT RUSHMORE,” “SOUTH DAKOTA,” “2013,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
The reverse features the traditional portrait of President George Washington, with the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “QUARTER DOLLAR,” “LIBERTY,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
The Mount Rushmore America the Beautiful silver coin is the fifth and final in the series for 2013. These coins are available to you individually inside plastic capsules, with multiples housed in tubes of 10 coins or Monster Boxes of 100 silver coins.

Received coin today and was happy that it did not display buffing or scratching marks. However it had one little issue a 2mm circle under the right eye that almost looks like a tear, that is not quite a shiny as the rest of the coin. Because of that I give it 4 stars."

I got a good nickname for this coin, “A Jefferson Tear Drop.” This is a very nice coin and I like the design with Washington and Jefferson’s face on the coin. The sculptor on the coin makes it look as if Jefferson is weeping. If he were alive today to see the carnage that the financial sector has become I’m sure he would be in tears.
Plus 2013 will be a year to remember in that Mount Rushmore was closed off due to the failure and off the wall policies of the current regime. Lovely coin for a sweet price!
