The Burnished ATB series of silver coins from the US Mint offers a collectible version in the America the Beautiful Series. Each of the 56 designs available in the US Mint series comes in both investment-grade bullion coins and these burnished ones, with the latter offering unique visuals not featured in the bullion release. Provident Metals now has the 2013-P Burnished ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin available for online purchasing.
When you purchase a 2013-P Burnished ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin in this product listing, the item you receive comes with a protective display box from the United States Mint and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The burnished coins in this series are produced with the utmost attention to detail by the US Mint. Silver blanks are first burnished in a polishing drum to create a distinctive matte look. Each one is removed by a gloved hand and placed in the coining press, struck, and immediately removed by gloved hand for packaging.
On the obverse side of 2013-P Burnished ATB 5 oz Silver Coins, you will find the image of President George Washington. This left-profile bust of Washington was created in 1932 by John Flanagan and features on the circulation quarter. It was adapted for these larger 5 oz versions of the quarter in the ATB Series in 2010.
The reverse face of the 2013-P Burnished ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin offers a glimpse inside of White Mountain National Forest. A view through the towering birch trees in the foreground offers a view of a lake in the midst of the forest that is located near the base of Mount Chocorua. The peak of Chocorua rises to 3,490 feet and is the easternmost in the Sandwich Range of mountains.
White Mountain National Forest is a federally managed forest in New Hampshire that protects just over 750,000 acres of land. It was established as a result of the Weeks Act of 1911 and the federal government began acquiring the land in the protected park in 1914. It was formally established in 1918. While most of the 750,000 acres of land in the park is located in New Hampshire, just over 5% of the land is in neighboring Maine.
