With your purchase of 2013-W Reverse Proof American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coins in this listing at Provident Metals, you will receive a coin that is in near-perfect condition. All of these coins have either a PR/PF69 grade. This indicates a coin that exhibits full, original mint luster, but may also have a maximum of two minor detracting flaws present. These flaws are limited in nature to only minuscule contact marks or hairlines and limited in scope to the areas outside of the primary focal points.

Please remember Provident Metals does not guarantee if additional labels are present in the slabs housing these coins. Additionally, we do not guarantee whether the coins were graded by the PCGS or NGC. This means you could receive matching labels and designations when you buy several.

An indigenous American figure is depicted in the obverse design of 2013-W Reverse Proof American Buffalo Gold Coins. This design shows the figure in right-profile relief with braided hair and feathers woven in. This figure is not an exact replica of any one individual, but rather was composed by James Earle Fraser using various real-life indigenous American tribal leaders in the 20th century as inspiration for the physical appearance. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2013, the W mint mark of the West Point Mint, and the F initial of designer James Earle Fraser.

The American bison features on the reverse side of 2013-W Reverse Proof American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coins. This image was also created by Fraser, and again he took inspiration from a real-life figure. Black Diamond was a bison that lived at the Central Park Zoo in New York City in the early 20th century. Fraser depicts the bison standing in left-profile relief on a small mound of dirt. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, $50, and 1 OZ .9999 FINE GOLD.

These 2013 American Buffalo Gold Coins were special reverse-proof issues to honor the 1913 debut of the Buffalo Nickel, the coin design that inspired the designs of the American Buffalo. These reverse-proof coins have mirrored design elements overlaying frosted fields.
