Designed by Canadian artist Arnold Nogy, the reverse features a heartwarming image of an owl standing next to an owlet. The selective coloring showcases the owl’s speckled brown and white plumage and bright yellow eyes. CANADA, 20 DOLLARS and the year of mintage are engraved.
The obverse features a profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the current reigning monarch of Canada. ELIZABETH II and D.G. REGINA (By the Grace of God, Queen) are additionally inscribed.
