All 2014 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins from Provident Metals come with individual plastic flips. The 2010s showcased interesting fluctuations in demand, with the 1 oz Gold Eagles soaring in 2009 and 2010, declining through 2011 and 2012, spiking in 2013, and experiencing a drop in 2014. The series then showed steady gains through 2016 before entering a prolonged decline from 2017 to 2019.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2014 American Eagle Gold Coins showcases Lady Liberty, a design crafted by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. Liberty stands in front-facing relief, holding a torch in her right hand, an olive branch in her left, and is surrounded by a ring of stars against a background filled with sun rays and the U.S. Capitol Building. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2014.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2014 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin, Miley Busiek’s beautiful depiction captures an American bald eagle family. The design features a male eagle soaring over the nest as a female eagle guards over hatchlings. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 1 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 50 DOLLARS.
History
In 2014, a shift in demand was notable across various weights in the series compared to the 2013 release. Particularly, the 1 oz Gold Eagle witnessed the most significant drop in demand year-over-year, with its 2014 issue falling by more than 300,000 coins from the previous year. Conversely, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle experienced the smallest decrease in demand at just 10,000 fewer coins and emerged as the highest-minted coin in the series for 2014.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
