About the American Bison
The bison is one of Canada’s most iconic wildlife symbols. In the United States, bison are sometimes hunted by bears, wolves and cougars.
In northern Canada, the massive creatures freely roam protected areas, keeping them safe from extinction. Buffalo are most commonly found in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories.
About the Royal Canadian Mint
Founded in 1908, the Royal Canadian Mint is one of the world’s most advanced refiners of gold and silver. The Mint rose as the first to produce gold coins inscribed with the name CANADA, along with iconic Canadian images like the maple leaf and the coat of arms.
Today, RCM markets to collectors and investors alike, producing a variety of high-quality bullion coins, wafers and bars.
