The reverse shows a bobcat mid-pounce, springing toward the viewer with claws extended. The soft texture of the mixed-length fur stands out clearly against the snowy background. The word CANADA arches over the top rim, and the denomination of 20 DOLLARS is to the bottom-left. The year is to the left side of the design, and the words FINE SILVER ARGENT PUR 9999 are to the right.
The obverse features a shining portrait of Queen Elizabeth, with the words ELIZABETH II and DG REGINA around the rim in a double border.
Bobcats are elusive and highly adaptable predators that range from Canada to Mexico. They are a little larger than a housecat with a spotted gray or brown coat and black-tufted ears similar to a lynx. They can be found pouncing on rabbits, birds and squirrels -- even fish and insects. When a bobcat is around, keep your pets inside: they have been known to eat domestic cats and even small dogs, as well as goats and sheep.
Pounce on this investment opportunity today! The 2014 Silver Bobcat is the twelfth coin in the 20 for $20 series. Order yours to continue collecting these unique and affordable coins!
