This 2014 Satwater Crocodile is the sixth coin in the Australia Map-Shaped Coin series from The Perth Mint.
This NGC MS70 coin is struck from 1 troy ounce of .999 pure silver and has a limited mintage of only 6,000 worldwide.
Each Australia-shaped Saltwater Crocodile coin will arrive encapsulated in a grey presentation case and custom designed beauty box along with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Produced by the Perth Mint, the Saltwater Crocodile 1 oz Silver coin is the sixth release of the 2014 Australian Map-Shaped Collection.
Composed of .999 fine silver, each coin has been rated MS70 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) due to its flawless appearance.
The coin’s unique shape gives it a distinct appearance, and mintages are low, so supplies are limited.
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of Australia. ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1 DOLLAR and the year of mintage are inscribed.
The coin’s colorful reverse features a saltwater crocodile in its natural setting. An image of a vivid sunset graces the backdrop. SALTWATER CROCODILE, the composition and the year of mintage are also inscribed.

What is MS70?
A rating of MS70 means the coin, issued in the first thirty days of release, is sent directly to the NGC for authentication and grading. MS70 stands for “Mint State 70,” indicating the coin has a perfect score — there is not a single blemish or scratch detected, even by a trained expert.
About the Perth Mint
Founded in 1899 by the Perth branch of the British Royal Mint, the Perth Mint was originally a gold refinery.
It was not until 1931 that the Mint began using its skill set to produce a variety of bullion products. In 1970, the British government ceded control of the Mint to Australia.
Today, the Perth Mint promotes the history and heritage of Australia, while providing customers with some of the world’s highest quality goods and service.
