The coin’s obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth with a glossy finish set against a matte-finish textured background. The Queen’s name of “ELIZABETH II” appears towards the top, while the coin’s denomination of $10 Canadian Dollars and the date 2014 are inscribed at the bottom.
On the reverse, an arctic fox is shown mid-stance in a typical Canadian wildlife scene. The coin’s country of origin is engraved at the top. Towards the bottom, the coin’s purity of .9999 fine gold and the weight of 1/4 oz are featured. In keeping with the Canadian policy of bilingualism, both the words “FINE GOLD” and “OR PUR” are displayed.

Received my arctic fox coin today. It is very nicely detailed, in perfect shape, and looks like it's in the original mint packaging. It cost less than a quarter ounce maple, and has some collector value since it was only minted in 2014. Excellent gold deal."
