America the Beautiful silver coins are produced in each of the 56 designs across the series in bullion and burnished options. Neither version of the coin has mintage caps, but the burnished coin does have lower mintage figures as it is a collectible coin with a higher premium over the spot price of silver. Today, you have the chance to get the 2014-P Burnished ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coin online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Burnished America the Beautiful Everglades Silver Coins are produced in a different manner than the bullion versions of the coin. The burnished blanks are polished with a burnishing medium before striking and then removed by hand to be placed in the coining press. The coins are then removed by hand from the press and immediately packaged inside of a commemorative display box.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2014-P Burnished ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of President George Washington. This left-profile bust of the nations first president was created in 1932 by John Flanagan for the circulation quarter and was inspired by a 1786 bust of Washington sculpted by William Cousins.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2014-P Burnished ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coin bears the image of an anhinga bird on a willow as a roseate spoonbill wades in the waters of the Everglades National Park. The park is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States and it protects 20% of the total land area of the Everglades.
History
America the Beautiful coins debuted in 2010 from the US Mint with a plan to release 56 designs in total. Those designs represent the 50 US states, five overseas territories, and the federal district of the United States of America.
