The US Mint certified its position as a formidable leader in the precious metals industry with the production of the American Buffalo Gold coin. It immediately demanded a place amongst the worlds most elite bullion coins. Issued in 2006, the introduction of the American Buffalo Gold Coin disrupted the winning streak of the American Eagle Gold coin collection with more demand and fanfare from collectors and investors. Today, Provident Metals offers you the 2014 Proof American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coin!
American Buffalo Gold coins were released in June 2006 under the Public Law Act, also called the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005. The Act permitted the striking and issuing of the Buffalo Coin as legal tender with a face value of $50. The emergence of the coin revitalized the industry with fresh imagery after the long domination of the American Eagle Gold coins. This was a necessary breath of fresh air. The coin is also one of the purest forms of gold coins with 24 karats of gold utilized to compose it. They will be delivered in advanced display boxes to offer a secure method of transpiration and display for all collectors and investors.
For the obverse field of the 2014 Proof American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coin, the image of a Native American is featured. This image is inspired by the Buffalo Nickel design by James Fraiser and depicts a handsome indigene of America in a right-relief portrait. The US Mint noted that the design of this specific face is a merger of a variety of influential leaders. The inscriptions on the obverse include Liberty and 2014.
For the reverse field of the 2014 Proof American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coin, a buffalo design is featured. The buffalo is a mighty beast with its head and tail pushed up against the edges of the coin. This is achieved through a left-facing profile of the bison. Some people believe that the buffalo is based on the American buffalo named Black Diamond who lived in New Yorks Central Park Zoo and was considered to be the largest buffalo in captivity.
