History
The 2015 edition continues the legacy of the iconic Buffalo Nickel design by James Earle Fraser. Ideal for collectors intrigued by US coin history, this piece is a cornerstone for any American coin collection. These coins are the first to be made from .9999 pure gold by the US Mint. They’ve been issued annually since 2006.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

"I have mixed feelings on this coin. It's 24k, so its color is gorgeous, but the mottled background severely hampers what would have been an absolutely stunning coin had the background been smooth and lustrous. On the other hand, it's a US coin, and it actually has a dollar value, which means that in a monetary crisis, it will be easily recognized as an official ounce of gold. I just wish they'd done away with the mottled background, which would enable this coin to give the Chinese Panda a serious run for its money as the most beautiful gold coin available."

"The Gold Buffalo coin is my absolute favorite coin in my entire collection. The history and heritage it displays is tremendous. The fact that this 24 karat coin has a yellow luster beyond compare is what also makes it my favorite coin. I won't buy another Golden Eagle. I will stick with the Gold Bullalo coin for future gold purchases."

"I think that the mottled background fits perfectly with the toughness and character of the Indian and the buffalo. This is my favorite gold coin of all. I don't think that any other coin has such a perfect match as this one with the Indian and the buffalo."

"Unlike many .9999 pure gold coins, this lacks any flat surfaces to reflect the rich, lustrous color of the metal. I prefer the Canadian Maple Leaf, the Austrian Philharmonic, or the Chinese Panda, for example, all which have beautifully reflective surfaces. That said, the color of the Gold Buffalo coin is excellent, as is the detail of the face and the Buffalo. Unfortunately the background is mottled instead of smooth, which would have made this an absolutely GORGEOUS coin."
