Issued by the Royal Canadian Mint, the Quest $25 1 oz Silver Proof coin is the first release in the four-part Star Charts Series.
Composed of 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver, each coin has a diameter of 40mm, with a weight of 31g.
Designed by Western Ojibwa artist Cyril Assiniboine, the reverse features the mesmerizing image of a hunter in traditional dress, the Big Dipper prominently displayed in the night sky. The coin’s constellation was created using innovative glow-in-the-dark technology, which makes the stars illuminate in the dark. For best results, recharge your coin under light between uses.
The reverse is also inscribed with CANADA, 25 DOLLARS and the year of mintage.
Like many coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, the obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the current reigning monarch of Canada. ELIZABETH II and D.G. REGINA — which stands for “Dei Gratia Regina” or “By the Grace of God, Queen” — are also inscribed.

About the Royal Canadian Mint
Founded in 1908, the Royal Canadian Mint is one of the world’s most advanced refiners of gold and silver. The Mint rose as the first to produce gold coins inscribed with the name CANADA, along with iconic Canadian images like the maple leaf and the coat of arms.
